Getting To Port Hinchinbrook

International & Domestic Flights

The closest domestic airport is Townsville with Cairns airport being the closest International (and domestic) airport. Hinchinbrook Coaches offer regularly scheduled transfers from both airports. Hire cars are available at both airports or independent coach transfers can be arranged.

Coaches

Hinchinbrook Coaches depart Townsville and Cairns daily at 6.00am, arriving at Port Hinchinbrook by approximately 8:45am. Return coaches depart Port Hinchinbrook at 5:30pm daily, arriving at both Townsville and Cairns airports at approximately 7.30pm. Bookings can be made up to 24 hours prior to your pick up time.

Self Drive

If you prefer to drive you will be treated to some spectacular North Queensland scenery. Visit www.greattropicaldrive.com.au and follow the 'Great Green Way' coastal drive to Cardwell. From Cardwell its only 1km South to the Port Hinchinbrook entrance directly off the Bruce Highway, you can't miss it.

Train

Both the Sunlander and the Tilt Train depart from Brisbane and travel through Cardwell (disembark in Cardwell, 2km from Port Hinchinbrook) on the way to Cairns. Helicopters

Chartered helicopter transfers can be arranged from both Cairns and Townsville. The scenery on route is nothing short of spectacular! Arrangements by request.
